I consider it a great privilege to be entrusted to journey alongside others and offer support as they navigate and make sense of their life’s journey. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Tennessee and Georgia, I am passionate about working with teens and adults who are combating issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma history, low self worth, and other stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my top priority is for you to feel comfortable and safe. I want you to be able to envision embarking on a trusting therapeutic alliance with me and have hope for the growth you will achieve. We will discuss your areas of concern and general life experiences to get the full picture of you, then use that information to identify treatment goals and plan. I will explain my treatment approach and seek to answer any questions you have for me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship and a safe, supportive environment are essential for healing. Together, we will work to make sense of difficult emotions, explore the complexities of your experiences, and uncover a narrative of resilience and compassion. It is my hope that through our work, you will feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate your journey with greater clarity and strength.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I received training in EMDR therapy in March 2023. I received regular consultation in the year following my training. I primarily utilize EMDR when a client is seeking to find freedom from a traumatic experience or a "stuck" negative belief.

Psychodynamic

I primarily use a psychodynamic approach in therapy, allowing clients to lead and have control over what is discussed. I find it important to understand individuals within their environments and to connect patterns of behavior to root experiences.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT skills training, as these skills are incredibly practical for developing coping skills and communication techniques.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use the CBT model for understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and actions. I have received training in TF-CBT for trauma processing.
