Hey there, I'm Jenn. I am a licensed clinical social worker and began working as a therapist in 2002. Are you feeling overwhelmed by work, stress from your relationships, family, or parenting? You may be putting on a confident and brave face, but secretly you're overthinking every situation and decision that you make. Life is harder to manage when you're feeling overwhelmed and stressed. You may feel like you're stuck and, unable to move forward. It's time to take a deep breath, regroup, and reflect on your life and the changes you want to make to build long-term fulfillment. Let's face it - You deserve it! Let's talk about what's been going on and see how we can work together to make some positive changes in your life. I specialize in working with adults (18+) who are experiencing anxiety, attachment issues, depression, grief/loss, infertility, midlife transitions, parenthood struggles, and perinatal/postpartum mood disorders. My approach to therapy is always client-focused: I believe the relationship between therapist and client is central to reducing distress, increasing self-compassion/understanding, and improving emotional wellness. I help individuals safely process their emotions and experiences to learn practical, strength-based coping strategies and techniques for symptom management/reduction. I believe working through some of the most difficult times in our life requires additional support. I recognize that it takes courage to seek help, and in our work together we'll utilize your strengths to help you make the change you're looking for.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I work with my participants to help them understand the challenges and obstacles that they may be facing. Often times these obstacles prevent us from living our best lives. I help my participants develop and establish goals and implement evidence-based skills in a short timeframe that will make a positive change throughout the treatment process.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize an eclectic approach in my practice and implement various techniques and therapies depending on the participant's needs, preferences, and goals. I am versed in therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I believe my strengths include being patient, empathetic, and understanding. I am a good listener and easy to talk to. I would be honored to assist you on your journey. If I seem like a good fit, please reach out.
