What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the initial session, our goal is to gather a comprehensive understanding of your background and the reasons that brought you to therapy. This information is essential in developing a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs. Additionally, this session provides you with the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns you may have about the process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my commitment to trauma-informed care. I deeply understand how past trauma can influence a client’s mental health and behavior, even when it is not the primary focus of their current concerns. My approach prioritizes creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment, where trauma awareness is seamlessly integrated into treatment. This allows me to help clients feel secure and respected throughout the therapeutic process, reducing the risk of re-traumatization and promoting healing at a pace that is comfortable for them.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) helps children, teens, and families heal from trauma, including abuse and grief. It often involves caregivers, using family therapy elements, and is tailored to the unique needs of young trauma survivors.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that reduces distress from traumatic memories. By recalling a troubling event while following side-to-side visual stimuli, the emotional impact of the memory lessens, making it easier to process and reducing anxiety.

Somatic

Body-centered (somatic) therapy is a holistic approach that combines psychotherapy with physical techniques to heal the mind-body connection. Effective for PTSD and mental health issues, it uses practices like breathwork, meditation, movement, and talk therapy to promote overall healing.
