What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Before our first session, I like to have a 15 min consultation to discuss what you are looking for in a therapist, what your needs are, and confirm that we both feel comfortable to move forward with an intake session. During our first session, we will explore you current situation as well as attain some historical background and information to start our work together and establish what is your main goal in therapy. After a couple of sessions, my hope is to have established a safe and trusting environment where we can work together on established goals and dive deep into the root of your main issues at hand as well as techniques that can you can use to navigate through what is currently going on for you.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
My approach in therapy draws influence from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I like to use several different techniques during therapy such as cognitive restructuring / reframing, relaxation / deep breathing exercises, psycho-education, exploration of emotions and relationship patterns and exploration of coping patterns.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strength in working with clients is being able to provide a non judgmental safe environment to explore emotions. Additionally, working with issues of codependency, people pleasing, and perfectionism is my passion as I truly love to help others find their way back to loving themselves, being able to set healthy boundaries in all relationships, and find true acceptance of themselves.
