I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Seeing the overlay of trauma, mental health and substance abuse across all ages, identities, races and religions. Medication management, ADHD, depression, anxiety/panic, bipolar, and insomnia, are just a few of my specialties. I have additional training in addictions to help serve as many patients as I can regardless of their diagnoses or comorbidities. I believe in treating mMy journey into psychiatric mental health care began with a deep understanding of how trauma, mental health challenges, and substance use are interconnected, touching the lives of people from all walks of life. I was driven to do more than just treat symptoms; I wanted to partner with my patients on a deeper, more personal level to help them create meaningful and lasting change. As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe that true healing happens when we treat the whole person, not just a diagnosis. Our work together will be a partnership. My role is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that is tailored specifically to you. I am dedicated to empowering you and your family with a clear understanding of your condition, your treatment options, and your overall path to wellness. While medication management is a core component of my practice, my expertise extends to creating comprehensive treatment plans for a range of conditions. Furthermore, with specialized training in addiction medicine, I am fully equipped to support individuals navigating complex diagnoses and co-occurring conditions in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Taking the first step can be the most challenging part of the journey, and I am here to support you when you are ready.
In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative, non-judgmental, and personalized experience. I believe in empowering you by working together to create a comprehensive treatment plan. My approach combines evidence-based therapy, lifestyle considerations, and thoughtful medication management. To ensure the most effective and personalized care, I may utilize advanced tools like GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing to help guide medication decisions when appropriate.
Depending on the individual patient's condition and my assessment of their needs, I may recommend one or more of several different types of psychotherapy, medicine, psychosocial therapies, or other treatments.
My ability to understand and empathize with those who are struggling with mental health issues, especially depression, is one of my greatest strengths. Mental illness has always been taboo in my family, and we never brought it up until it was too late. Whether or not it is discussed, mental health disorders are very real . It corrodes us from within, and it can be terrifying to feel like there's no end in sight. My hope is that by working through our problems together, I might help ease your symptoms.

John is such a terrific provider, I never feel rushed or like he’s not fully paying attention to me. He’s very considerate and thoughtful with his medication choices and keeps an acute eye on any symptoms or side effects I might be experiencing. He’s truly a wonderful practitioner and your organization is quite fortunate to have him.
