I strongly feel that to help a person, the person must feel comfortable, truly heard, understood, and valued. My role is to help foster a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering space that can help guide you to reach your goals. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma. Some of the people with whom I have worked are looking to make a specific change and are looking for support, others are struggling with challenging symptoms and are looking for relief, others are having difficulties managing emotions or maintaining relationships. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, collaborative, creative, and adaptive. I use an integrated and holistic approach so that therapy is unique to each individual and their needs. I pull from and utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities when working with individuals; including: EMDR, TF-CBT, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Processing (CPT), PE, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), solution focused and strengths-based perspectives, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Using a private and secure virtual platform. Adult individual, couples or family sessions are welcomed. I look forward to hearing from you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Success in therapy can be measured by decreased symptoms, increased resilience, increased capacity for joy and play, or an increased sense of meaning and purpose. Getting to this place is not always comfortable; My clients can expect a competent and effective therapist who will help them achieve their goals efficiently.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use an integrated and individualized approach to psychotherapy. I am trained in multiple empirically-supported modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and cognitive processing therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Clients and colleagues tell me my non-judgmental attitude, genuine concern, extensive education, and therapeutic experience, combine to make me a very effective and compassionate provider of mental health services.
