Hello there! Do you ever feel as though your life is a million-piece puzzle? Or feel as though your family or partner does not understand you. Life can be complicated, however, your mind does not constantly have to be. My diverse experience has allowed me to gain expertise in helping families, couples, parents, & individuals (16 years & older) in various settings, navigate through relational struggles, traumas, betrayals, anxieties, miscommunications, setbacks, self-discoveries, transitions, or misunderstandings. Together, we can identify what is not working and learn ways to communicate it in order to create change. I learned the importance of culture competency through my academic training at Adler University. It is important to understand how the dimensions of culture, race, gender, ethnicity, age, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, and language may affect the function of your relational systems. I come to you, gently, soft & warm. I have a strong sense of being mindful and allowing you to be in the moment. I can gently challenge you when need be or pep you up. Ultimately, I will meet you raw and unfiltered and embrace all parts of it. You deserve a safe space to explore all parts of the self. Let’s connect and start piecing together the puzzle. **With every darkness, there is a light** Background: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 11 years of experience in the mental health field; 8 years as a therapist Education: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University Master of Arts in Couples & Family Therapy from Adler University Experience: *Residential treatment caseworker *Psycho-social Interventionist *Support for young, migrant children separated from families, living in facilities *Parent group at Haymarket Chicago *School-based therapist in urban Chicago schools *Non-profit in urban, Chicago neighborhood *Non-profit in Lake County, IL ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -In-person & virtual sessions available *Prefers families & couples in-person* -Super Bill can be provided

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is about creating connection and identifying compatibility. At the beginning, I will go over my practice policies and procedures, then leave the floor open for any questions clients may have of me. Then I will collect facts about clients (who you are in day-to-day life). Lastly, I will collect client's current concerns with his/her/their function (symptoms).

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I work collaboratively with my clients, focusing on the relationship, using empathy, warmth, and a non-judgmental approach to help clients identify conditions of worth in hopes of achieving your true potential and help you become your best self. I also understand that individuals are different; therefore, to better serve you, I also apply approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness skills to achieve your goals better. My goal is for clients to leave the therapy room, feeling more relaxed and hopeful about their presenting problems.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My specialty is working with family, couples, 16+ individuals, sibling sub systems and parental sub systems. My work through a systemic lens allows me to see things not existing on its' own. It is of a greater whole. Everything around you, past/present, has influenced you to believe, feel, and think the way you do.
