Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with 24 years of experience. I have been working with Deaf clients for the last 24 years since graduating with a Masters in Social work from Gallaudet University. In addition to Deaf clients I have worked with clients with multiple disabilities and their families to navigate the journey of self-advocacy necessary for their success. I find great value in every individual I work with and value their story, background and abilities. My goal is to help you identify the areas you would like to improve on in life and work through steps for your success. Related to my therapeutic approach my practice focuses on strength based therapy. Since you know yourself best my therapeutic approach is person-centered and solution focused.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I would like to get to know more about you and your needs! You know yourself best! With that being said I would like to know your goals with seeking counseling. Seeking help is a huge step so I want to make counseling sessions are a place where you feeI connected and your feelings valued. I am here to listen, support, and offer insight into whatever issues or concerns you are facing. Together we will set goals and throughout our journey, find ways to achieve the goals. My goal is to help you find and learn the skills that best meet your needs for success!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think my greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to connect with others and meet them where they are at. My approach is very non-judgmental with an authentic openness to connect with my clients and help them achieve their goals.
