About me

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana and Kentucky. I have been in the social work field since 2016. Upon receiving my Masters degree, I pursued a career as a therapist. I am privileged to have been allowed the opportunity to work with several varying population groups and cultures. I currently provide therapy through a medication assisted treatment (MAT) facility and primary care office. My past experience includes child welfare/foster care, community mental health agencies, MAT, psychiatric units, hospitals, and schools. I would be honored to help you navigate difficulties in life, relationships, and mental health.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will begin with introductions and build rapport through an understanding of who each of us are. In order to have a healthy client-therapist relationship, we want to assure that we understand each other's point of view. The first session will also serve as the time to go through the intake paperwork, any questions regarding it, and gather information pertaining to your main concern(s) and need for therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in various areas within this field, I am able to be a versatile provider with experience in multiple ailments and concerns. My greatest strengths are compassion, empathy, support, and accountability. I will challenge you and encourage you to remain open to navigating the issues at hand with an open mind and heart.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with all population groups, but especially those who are genuinely interested in diving into their trauma and grief to find underlying connections to present-day issues. Even when trauma no longer appears to be effecting us-- there can be residual effects that illicit other concerns within mental health. Whether you are an adult, a parent, a parent searching for help for their child, or a couple-- I can help you find the best solutions to your worries and concerns. I will always put in effort as your therapist and thoroughly enjoy clients who strive to do the same for their own benefit as well.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a widely used treatment method allowing for clients to understand the correlation and impact with in emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I encourage clients to reflect on these areas and the interaction within in order to best cope with and grow through difficult situations.

Faith based therapy

Faith values can play a strong role in therapy, allowing for growth and needed change. If this is an important value in your life, allow me to guide you through the use of it in the healthiest way.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness can be practiced in several ways within therapy. I am lucky to have had multiple opportunities at practicing and exploring mindfulness.

Grief Therapy

After experiencing personal grief on several levels, I challenged myself to provide support, understanding and motivation to those experiencing grief. Grief is a heavy topic that must be understood at the core— a realization that can only proven through careful support and guidance.

Chaslyn is an incredible therapist. After only a month of sessions, I feel completely comfortable with her. She is warm and makes you feel at ease. I appreciate the fact that she can provide guidance with a biblical worldview, as my faith is integral to my life. I feel as though she does an incredible job to help me process the things I’m walking through while honoring my emotions and balancing truth. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking counseling.
