During your first session, we will build rapport and introduce ourselves. I will ask questions to understand what you're struggling with and what brought you in to therapy. You'll likely talk about some of your past (family history, traumatic experiences) and how your symptoms or feelings are manifesting today, and how long they have been showing up. From there we will begin identifying your specific goals.
Having worked with different clients , I have developed the skills necessary such as building trust, listening, congruency, empathizing with your struggles, empowering, and creating a healthy safe place to help you process your experiences.
I especially love working with clients who experience anxiety, trauma and low self esteem concerns. I will give you the tools to reach your potential and help you feel more confident about yourself. We will walk together to help you discover the root of the problem and build on healthy coping strategies.

Your therapist's approach will depend on your particular situation and preferences. Your therapist may combine CBT with another therapeutic approach — for example, interpersonal therapy, which focuses on your relationships with other people.
