Hey there! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida. I received my Masters from St. Thomas University and have been practicing psychotherapy for 5 years. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and my studies led me to beautiful Miami, FL in 2018. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role as your therapist is to guide you through the process of change needed to achieve your goals. ¡Se habla español!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will discuss the specific challenges you are facing and the goals you want to attain. I will also ask you questions about your past and your present to help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Building a strong client-therapist connection is a priority, and I'm here to meet you where you are in your journey to healing and growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My therapeutic style is warm, genuine, and compassionate. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can enhance your self-awareness and equip yourself with the tools to effectively manage difficult emotions, setting the foundation for a successful and healthy life. I speak both Spanish and English fluently!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults struggling with trauma, addiction, and identity issues. Due to my cultural background, I have extensive experience working with immigrants, children of immigrants, and intergenerational trauma.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I take a trauma-informed approach by recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and how it can shape our behaviors, responses, and needs. My priority is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel secure, while building trust through open communication and transparency. By understanding that trauma responses are adaptive, I focus on helping clients heal at their own pace, with care centered around safety, trust, and empowerment.
