Hi, my name is Rosaura, but please call me Rose. Do you ever feel like your thoughts are "too much"? Or maybe you're having certain negative thoughts that interrupt your daily life, relationships, and even work? I can help you understand these thoughts to be able to manage them and continue to live your life. I help people who are suffering from anxiety and depression by teaching them and inviting them to understand where these thoughts are coming from and why they are happening. I like to use cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness to enhance awareness and increase mindfulness in our day-to-day life. You don't have to do this alone, you're already taking the first step in this journey, meeting with a therapist and working together to overcome these difficult challenges and obstacles is something we can tackle together.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, like many other therapists, we will do a psychosocial assessment and that is to obtain a history and go further in depth as to what the issues are and how they're affecting you. This first session allows me to visualize the problem with you and lets me hear it from your perspective. During this first session we will also review rights and responsibilities in therapy as it is a good way to test out if we will be compatible working together.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I enjoy working with individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression as those disorders can have a big effect on their everyday lives, such as stopping them from going outside to not being able to form meaningful relationships and the sooner we start the therapeutic work, the sooner we can see change and progress. I am authentic in our work together and genuinely look forward to our sessions.
