I am a firm believer in the power of the stories that we tell about ourselves and our experiences. Sometimes experiences like changes in relationship status, career changes, new education experiences, or entering a new phase of life can cause us to buy into a negative story narrated by our inner critic, leading to symptoms like racing thoughts, low energy, decreased feelings of self-worth, etc.. In sessions we will examine how past, present, and ongoing experiences shape your current story and identity. Together we will work to create a new story that includes your identified values, strengths, life goals, and accomplishments.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach is exploratory, reflective, and collaborative. Through gentle questioning and reflective statements, I aim to get to know my client on a personal level to ensure that I offer exercises and activities that are specifically tailored to the individual I am working with. In sessions we will explore how the experiences have shaped the person you are now with the goal of uncovering the values and beliefs that are important to the person you are working to become.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My goal is to work to get clients to a space where they can feel confident about how they show up to interactions, to experiences, and for themselves. Ultimately, I believe that the goal of therapy is the development of a renewed sense of identity and purpose.
