My name is Jennifer Leone, but please call me Jen. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in practice for 13 years and specialize in working with adolescents and young professionals who need support in relationships and life transitions. Habits, losses, regret and trauma can get in the way of realizing true potential and living a full life. I can guide and support those who are ready to get unstuck, moving towards a life less ruled by fear.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session we'll prioritize what you would like to focus on and create a safe space for you to explore past patterns and future goals. If goals are not yet clear, we can create a better understanding your personal values. We will then examine what might be preventing you from attaining those goals, relationally, personally or professionally.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician, I listen critically to understand your personal style & challenges. I am quite sensitive to individual needs and pain. However, I also use humor to amplify how human and flawed we all are. The joy of errors and failing is its universality.

My treatment methods

Existential

Existential psychology poses the questions "why are we here and what is our purpose?" Angst and depression can arise inter and intra personally when we feel the press of these questions.

Attachment-based

The way we attached to our original care givers influences how we attach to our partners, co-workers and friends. With greater understanding, interactive patterns can change.

Strength-Based

Everyone, everyone! has strengths they've drawn on to support them. At times those strengths can be amplified and/or additional skills developed to ensure better functioning.
