Welcome! I am a bilingual-bicultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field providing services to children and families. My focus is to address the impact of adverse childhood experiences, complex, intergenerational, and vicarious trauma, grief and loss to support healing and growth. I also have a PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development with an emphasis on mental health and developmental disorders. I am also a graduate from the Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship.
In therapy, I work collaboratively to develop treatment goals. I provide opportunities for processing and psychoeducation to create new meaning making, skill-building exercises, and homework assignments to facilitate healing and growth.
As a bilingual-bicultural provider, I am passionate about serving clients both in English and Spanish, ensuring that cultural nuances are respected and integrated into the therapeutic practices.
Certification: 2019 I have found TF-CBT, a helpful evidence-based practice treatment, helpful to heal from trauma. This structured treatment includes some of the following component’s psychoeducation, relaxation, affect modulation, cognitive copying, narrative, processing, and safety.
Certification: 2017 Over the years, I have utilized CPP to strengthen the child-parent relationship, decrease trauma related symptoms, and promote a healthy development with relational, age-appropriate therapeutic strategies.
