Hello, I'm Amy and I would love the opportunity to support you with whatever you are experiencing or not experiencing in your life. I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques that include empowerment and mindfulness. Together, we can identify what's working and/or not working for you, then get you where you want to be personally, as a couple or as a family. If you're new to therapy, I appreciate how difficult it is to schedule that first appointment and I'm here to make that as easy as possible. Things I would like for you to know about me, I lost a young child and went through a divorce, I utilized several wonderful therapist and then went to college to become one myself. I have a wonderful husband and a large blended family. I look forward to learning from you and I hope we get to work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You are in control of our time together, what would you like achieve? I hope that you and I are are able to identify some clear goals together and I will assist you in attaining them. I hope you leave our time together feeling supported, encouraged, motivated and accomplished.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe everyone should be treated with respect, compassion and the right to self determination. My approach is anchored in Empowerment, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy Techniques, Systems, Dialectical BehaviorTtherapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Attachment-based, Culturally Sensitive, Humanistic, Integrative, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Positive Psychology, Schema Therapy, Strength-Based and Trauma Focused.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have spent the last 22 years working with women, men, young adults, children, couples and families. I have specialized training in depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and relationships. I believe we are all doing the best we can at any given time. I also believe "Anything that is "wrong" with you began as a survival mechanism in childhood"-Gabor Mate. For us to be effective together, I strive to provide a safe space for everyone to feel empowered, accepted and secure in our time together.
