Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Masters from the Cal State University of San Bernardino and have been practicing for 5 years. Inspired by my own experiences in therapy, I strive to provide clients a safe space by utilizing a non-judgmental approach to help overcome life struggles, by helping them develop healthy coping skills, reduce stress and prevent burnout. My extensive experience in various settings have equipped me to effectively support culturally diverse populations by utilizing multiple modalities of treatment tailored to each client's needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will consist of creating a safe and comfortable space for you to express yourself freely. Starting to get to know each other, and discussing your reasons for seeking therapy is important by discussing history of the current symptoms you are experiencing, as well as, creating your goals during our work together. I believe that building trust through our sessions will help us be successful in empowering you to live the life you achieve to live. I'll explain my approach to therapy and answer any questions you may have. We'll explore your current challenges, emotions, and experiences, laying the foundation for our therapeutic journey. By the end of the session, you can expect to feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next steps toward positive change and growth. learning about each other and building trust.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my biggest strengths are meeting clients where they are at, along with being an active listener. Validating their experiences and utilizing an empathic approach is important to me because it helps clients to feel heard while experiencing challenging in their lives. I aim to cultivate a safe, and non-judgmental environment for clients. I also take pride in empowering clients by guiding them to confront their limiting beliefs, fostering deeper self-awareness, and nurturing a sense of self-love along the way to reach their goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Since early in my training, I use Person-centered therapy since it focuses on being empathetic and understanding towards clients. I truly believe that as a therapist it's important to be a genuine person and create a safe place by showing up in a non-judgmental manner.

Psychodynamic

I appreciate Psychodynamic therapy since it focuses in acknowledging client's feelings. I understood that you are the expert of your own life. Therefore, clients know what the best path is for them, and as a therapist I strive to help clients combat negative patterns of behavior that derive from their past experiences. I strive to create a safe space for clients to speak freely in response to questions during sessions, which allows me as therapist to identify patterns of behavior and thought. Moreover, I strongly believe that guiding clients to understand how some of their past experiences have created unhelpful behaviors and feelings for them, then they can learn and focus on how to overcome them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I've observed that using DBT helps clients to find a balance between change and acceptance. I aim to teach a person new skills, such as new ways to cope with a situation and mindfulness practices. Furthermore, it helps clients increase distress tolerance and improve interpersonal relationships.
