Me - Amy Rhoades, PhDc, MSW, LCSW, BSN, RN - I live a life of service to others. My ideal client? It's you! Whether you are 18 or 88, I want to work with you. Have childhood trauma? That is one of my specialties. People say you are hard to work with? I got you. Geriatric concerns? I can help you navigate the senior moments. As a registered nurse, I can also help you with any medical conditions/diagnoses you or a loved one may have that is causing strife in your life. Whatever you are experiencing, right here, right now, I will walk beside you in it. I am an experienced provider who thinks outside of the box and have a bit of an eclectic style. I am well versed in many treatment modalities and will work with you on finding what best fits your needs in this moment. Feel lost? I will help you find yourself. The first session is a getting to know you session. You have the opportunity to ask me questions, and I will ask you a lot of questions. This serves as setting the stage of where you are in life and fills in the background pieces.
I work a lot with persons with borderline personality disorder. I have a strong working knowledge of substance use disorders and/or addictions. I have specific certifications in both nursing and mental health with persons in the geriatric community. I also have advanced training in trauma and all that goes with it - the anxiety, the depression, the mood swings. I also treat people in law enforcement, military, and those in the medical and psychological profession. I look forward to hearing from you!
