5 years of experience

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have been practicing in CA for the past 5 years. I am dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages who struggle to fit in, feel isolated, and have issues either at school, work, and/or at home. Most of my clients are neurodivergent, including Autistic individuals and people with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as their parents and caregivers. I also work with giftedness, social anxiety, developmental delay, and those with learning differences.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first few sessions I will provide education about neurodiversity and what neurodiverse-affirming means. We will explore and process what this means for you or your loved one. This information will help develop a strengths-based plan. The rest of our time is dedicated to developing strategies designed to help you to manage the symptoms you or your loved one are experiencing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My passion lies in helping individuals and their families feel seen and heard. It is so rewarding to help my clients gain more understanding about themselves and to fully embrace and accept who they are. If you or your loved one are seeking support in navigating the challenges of neurodiversity or are simply looking for a therapist who embraces differences, I invite you to reach out. Let’s embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and empowerment together.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a seamless intervention that allows therapy to unfold authentically. It allows me to respectfully connect and collaborate with my clients. My clients often feel empowered during their therapy sessions and gain skills in allowing themselves to adopt a more compassionate way of understanding themselves and behaviors that are hard to change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I find mindfulness-based therapy to be one of the quickest and most successful ways of helping reduce feelings of overwhelm and stress in my clients. Many of my clients have never tried mindfulness before and are skeptical of this approach. After a few sessions, most of my clients are surprised at how easy the tools are to learn and practice. So many of my clients have reported great success using mindfulness to help cope with everyday stressors.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach to create an environment that is sensitive, supportive, and responsive to the needs of my clients. I keep my interventions gentile, non-threatening, and respectful of my client’s boundaries and preferences. I focus on helping my clients heal by empowering themselves and building resilience in a non-threatening and safe environment.

I focus on the qualities my clients already have working for them and help them build upon that foundation rather than focusing on what is not working. I help my clients identify the strengths, resources, and positive qualities they already have and help them build upon them to promote healing, growth, and well-being.
