What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will ask about why you have come to seem. Then we will do a comprehensive assessment to make sure I understand all the important things about you. I will give you a "Brief Mood Survey" which will tell me how strong your symptoms are. Then we will set some goals for treatment. I will also ask you if you have any questions about me or the work I do.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Mary practices a specialized and highly effective form of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy called TEAM CBT. TEAM CBT was created by Dr. David Burns a Stanford Psychiatrist. If clients would like to know more about Mary's training, they can go to and read about the research that went into developing the model. They can also read Dr. Burns's most recent book "Feeling Great." Mary has a Bio on the Feeling Good Institute website.
