You are struggling with anxious thoughts, low mood, irritability, the invisible load that is placed upon you. Maybe you’re feeling like not quite yourself— like you aren’t living your healthiest, happiest and most well functioning life. Maybe you’re also a mom and feel like you’re drowning or missing out on the happy moments you feel that you are supposed to have with your kids because of your mental health. I get it. It’s a really difficult struggle and you are not alone. I help women and moms that are struggling with anxiety, depression and perinatal mental health. I specialize in using an integrative therapy approach, meaning that I tailor what I do in each session to what is going to best suit you. It’s so important that you get what you truly need from therapy and I will be there to support whatever that looks Ike for you. I provide a safe and validating space for you to be authentically and unapologetically yourself. Starting counseling can be really overwhelming and it’s totally normal to feel anxious or scared. The fact that you’re here right now, looking for help, is the biggest step you can take. You deserve to live the life you want to live. In our sessions, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you as we work through these things together. You don’t have to do this alone. Start where you are.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will work through questions detailing some of your life history so that I can better understand you and the goals that you might have for therapy. We will end that session by creating an idea of what we are going to work on together.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach is very client centered and based around what feels natural to you. I implement a variety of theories and techniques, especially emotion focused and cognitive behavioral, in order to form a totally unique to you approach to therapy. What is most important to me was a clinician is to make sure you feel comfortable and I do this by working first and foremost on our therapeutic relationship. What is consistent is that I am primarily talk based and find this works well for my clients.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize especially in working with women that are in any stage of motherhood, whether they are in the midst of trying to a mom of multiples. Outside of this, I work well with women in any capacity struggling with dysregulated mood and anxiety. Women matter. It's important to me and a big strength of mine to unpack the invisible weight placed on us as women in this society. Women are often undervalued and not heard when discussing their mental health. It is my focus to help you be able to find a safe space to actually speak about what you're going through.
