Hi, I am Samantha Sadler! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Indiana, serving both Indiana and Kentucky. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville in 2020 and have been practicing for 3 years. I enjoy helping clients reduce the frequency and strength of negative core beliefs and replacing those with more adaptive beliefs about themselves in order to act on creating changes that positively affect their quality of life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me work with you to create a personalized plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I ensure that each client remains an active participant in the treatment planning process and offer transparency of what to expect in upcoming sessions in order to promote client self-confidence when coming into sessions.
I enjoy working with adults, who struggle with anxiety and negative self-beliefs. My clients are motivated to learn more about their natural strengths, learn new ways to cope with stressors, and build their self-esteem. My prior clients have learned (sometimes for the first time in their life) to not only speak to themselves in a way that is kinder but have also learned to speak more assertively to others in all areas of life (personal relationships, the workplace, etc.).
Trained in EMDR in 2022, I have enjoyed utilizing this modality to help address underlying core beliefs that contribute to a person's relationships with others and with themselves.
I believe that all individuals have strengths even when they sometimes cannot see their own strengths and strive to structure sessions around each individual's strengths.
A person's lived experiences can have a lasting impact on their quality of life, self-beliefs, and coping. I bear in mind each client's expressed experiences as well as those which they might not have expressed and recognize the privilege of being involved in each client's journey of healing.
