Hi! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of NY and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of CT. I provide therapy remotely to make access to care more accessible and more approachable. It’s hard to take that first step and being met with compassion throughout the process is essential! Through compassion and collaboration with my clients, I offer the support to assist to help building the skills needed to tolerate the discomfort that might come from experiencing anxiety, life transitions, and/or relationship functioning while also promoting personal growth!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and initial rapport building. We will then work to identify the desired outcome of therapy and work together to create a clear plan tailored to the strengths and needs identified. This will be used as a guide for us to use during follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength a a provider is being able to find empathy and compassion so that I can build a trusting relationship with my clients. This helps clients feel comfortable in taking on the risk and vulnerability that comes with change. Clients are then able to trust themselves in using the skills they posses and learn to promote change.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based modality rooted in skills building to manage intense emotions and experiences as they arise. My approach with this modality to is to create a supportive space for clients to to practice new skills without judgement or fear. These skills are designed to fit the individual needs and preferences of each client.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) is a type of treatment to address symptoms of PTSD. Within this modality, individuals gradually confront trauma-related memories, feelings, and situations they've been avoiding, thus helping them to learn that these reminders are not dangerous in a safe and controlled manner.

Attachment-based

I use this to help clients uncover patterns learned through childhood experiences that can be impacting their ability to find a healthy and meaningful relationship as an adult. By gaining insight into the origins and purposes of these patterns, clients begin to feel empowered to not only identify patterns present, but then change the patterns that no longer suit them.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is an evidence-based treatment modality I use to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors all connect. In sessions, clients are able to not only identify thinking patterns but also challenge those patterns. As a result, clients are then able to see a decrease in symptoms by promoting newer and healthier internal dialogue.

Strength-Based

I believe clients have their own unique ability to achieve their goals. I therefore allow clients to take more of a lead in sessions to promote a sense of autonomy and mastery over their strengths. This allows them to experience an increased sense of confidence in problem solving and stress management.
