Hey there, I'm Shelby. I know the decision to start therapy isn't always the easy one but I hope to provide a space for you to grow. In my practice, I focus on helping individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, burn-out, relationship dynamic issues, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. My goal is to work in collaboration with you on identifying current stressors and goals. I like to look at one's environment to see what stressors could be impacting their ability to be present in daily life. I enjoy utilizing mindfulness and self-love within my sessions to help empower and encourage growth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will talk about what has brought you to therapy. We will talk about your expectations and goals for therapy and will work on exploring what has and hasn't worked for you in the past. I like to be able to build an open and comfortable space for clients.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Some of my biggest strengths include creating an environment that is calm, welcoming, and supportive. I excel at providing support during life transitions and moments of crisis.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with individuals who are dealing with different life transitions, from school transitions, to new relationships, or new careers/recent moves.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use a combination of modalities in treatment, with the foundation being cognitive behavioral therapy. This helps us work to identify the root cause of symptoms and identify ways to challenge and reframe to be able to move forward.

I have been working with Shelby for over a year now. I have been through six or seven therapists before I was lucky enough to find her. She is amazing. She understands me, and will challenge my negative behaviors. Each session feels organic and she will call out items she thinks are important. I have had so much progress in my mental health journey since meeting her. I can’t recommend her enough.
