Many of my clients have been there… trying to find the right therapist and questioning if they can be brave enough to make the first appointment . Maybe you are trying to find the right fit, maybe you are questioning if it is worth it. To those struggling with the multitudes of issues life can throw at all of us-I am here for you! Together we will uncover your power and courage to know that you can do difficult things. I help motivate my clients to keep going despite the challenges.
My therapeutic style is open, encouraging, compassionate, challenging, and fun. In our first session, I want to get to know you! We’ll explore what change looks like for you and identify the values and strengths that keep you going. Together, we’ll discuss the changes you want to see in yourself and what has stood in the way. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive space for your journey of self-discovery and growth.
In addition to my warm and authentic approach, I incorporate evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness. My areas of expertise include managing anxiety, improving self-esteem, and navigating life transitions. I'm dedicated to helping you build a life that's in line with your values and goals, providing a blend of empathy, insight, and practical strategies.
I work with individuals, couples, and groups facing challenges such as work stress and burnout, behavioral addictions, and relationship issues. My experience spans working with college students and a diverse range of clients who strive to be their best selves. As a Certified Therapeutic Game Master, I incorporate Role Playing Games like Dungeons and Dragons into my therapy sessions to facilitate growth and healing.
I believe that therapy should be focused on increasing what we do well and not just focusing on our struggles.
Looking at our core beliefs and thoughts is important in the change process.
Identifying and commiting to your personal values to set greater goals and living more present with thoughts and feelings.
Looking at ways to be mindfully present with our self talk and practice to speak to ourself in more caring ways.
