What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will complete an intake to gather appropriate information to create your tailored therapy approach. While it may seem like a waste of a session to have an intake, I find it allows people to be more honest and feel better understood with no preconceived judgments. By the end of the session, rapport has begun to be established and we can begin to discuss goals and expectations.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been in the mental health field for about 14 years and have been described as many clients as "nontraditional." During this time, I have been able to settle into an eclectic, personalized therapy approach with my clients. As client's worlds eb and flow, I like to utilize multiple treatment intervention to fit the client's best need. I believe humor is healing and has a very important place in the therapy session. I have worked in many sessions with all ages, gender identities and backgrounds in hopes to provide the most culturally compete care possible. I want clients to look forward to therapy by making sure you have a voice. The relationship with the client is extremely important and collaboration is key. I encourage feedback and I am always willing to pivot if you feel you need it.
