I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. I have worked in Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice settings in NYC and applied those experiences to my work with individuals and families. I provide evidence-based therapy for teens, adults, and families. I am rooted in Evidence-Based Practices and have been extensively trained in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Structural Family Therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Meeting people for the first time is always tough. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other, for you to openly discuss what your needs and goals for our work together are and to ask any questions you might have for me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day workings of life and place ourselves last on the list. My approach is rooted in the belief that we all deserve a life worth living. My goal is to help you achieve your own goals, find resolutions to challenges, and ultimately to hold space for you, however that looks.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My approach to therapy is one of openness and compassion. I have extensive experience in addressing trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, parent/child relationships, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and many other areas.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

As a DBT-informed practitioner, I use DBT to help clients learn effective skills to manage and regulate their emotional well-being

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is the basis for many evidence-based practices, and in my practice, I use it as a tool to help clients identify and combat the sources of negative thoughts about themselves and the world around them.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing for me is the belief that clients can grow and change, even if their previous attempts have not always been successful. I utilize MI to help clients push past those things blocking them from a life worth living.
