Welcome to my practice, I am a bilingual Latina counselor with over 12 years of experience. I work with individuals, couples and families who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, illnesses, phobias, relationship issues, substance abuse, identity issues related to gender and sexuality and life transitions. I am licensed in the state of Florida and Rhode Island. Life can be challenging and I am here to help you build the life you deserve.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Starting therapy can be scary. During our first session my main goal is to help my client feel they are in a safe place where they can be themselves and express their thoughts and feelings without feeling judged. Together we will identify their challenges and create a treatment plan that is culturally sensitive and caters to the client's specific needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Therapy gives the chance to be listened to without judgment, learn lifelong coping skills, and gain greater self-awareness among other benefits. I have the compassion and knowledge to help you find a sense of meaning in life once you learn about your values, motivations and goal and learn how to identify negative thinking and how to change it. Yo tambien hablo espanol.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT since the beginning of my career and I've witnessed individuals improved their mental health by learning how to challenge negative thoughts and reduce symptoms.

Eclectic

I like utilizing Eclectic therapy because is versatile and it meets the client's needs by drawing from multiple therapy approaches.

EMDR

The eye movement in EMDR activate the brain's information processing system so that the individual can successfully process the traumatic experience and let go of what is not useful and keep what one needs for wisdom, learning and growth.
