Being a therapist has been my only career. My therapeutic approach is Existential Phenomenological, heavily emphasizing Jungian psychology. I was introduced to Existential Phenomenology while attending the University of Dallas, where I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology. I obtained my master's in psychology at the University of West Georgia. Then, after several years, I returned to school to obtain a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Additional studies include play therapy, art therapy, SandPlay, EMDR, family studies, psychophysiology, and neuropsychology. My eclectic tools range from expressive art therapies to cognitive behavioral techniques. In addition, I have been blessed with training and work opportunities that have sharpened my clinical skills. My experience includes being a therapist for outpatient clinics, private practice, and hospital settings (inpatient, day hospital/partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and mobile assessment team). My clients' ages have ranged from 3 to older adults. My overall goal is to instill hope and health in individuals and families. The community eventually benefits by instilling hope and health in individuals and families. As a result, our societies have become healthier and better places for all of us.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I aim to understand what brings you to therapy and how you see the world. In other words, I want to feel heard and understood so that we can begin our journey together, where we can address and work on reaching your treatment goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my strength lies in my curiosity and determination to understand how you see the world and how to help you build bridges to obtain your treatment goals through evidence based-therapy.
