(she/her)
Hi, I’m Suzeline. You might be used to holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or mentally drained on the inside. Maybe your mind doesn’t slow down, you overthink things, or you feel stuck in a cycle where it’s hard to feel motivated, present, or like yourself. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, low mood, or a mix of both, it can feel exhausting carrying so much and not having a space to just be honest about it. Therapy with me is a place where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out. You can show up as you are. I create a warm, supportive space where you can talk things through, make sense of what you’re feeling, and start to feel more grounded and in control. In our work together, we’ll look at the patterns, thoughts, and pressures that may be keeping you stuck. We’ll also focus on practical ways to help you manage anxiety, improve your mood, set boundaries, and move through life with more clarity and confidence.
Your first session will feel more like a conversation than anything formal or intimidating. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what’s been weighing on you, and what led you to reach out for support. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low, or just not like yourself, we’ll take time to understand your experience without rushing. I’ll ask some questions to get a better sense of you, but there’s no pressure to share everything all at once. You can go at your own pace. We’ll also begin to identify what you want out of therapy and what feeling better would look like for you. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, more at ease, and like you finally have a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own.
One of my biggest strengths is creating a space where clients feel comfortable being real. You don’t have to filter yourself or try to say the “right” thing. I’m warm and easy to talk to, but I’m also intentional about helping you move forward. I don’t just listen. I help you make sense of what’s going on, recognize patterns, and find practical ways to handle situations differently. I have experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, and life transitions, and I focus on helping you feel more clear, emotionally balanced, and confident in how you navigate your day-to-day life.
I work best with people who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or mentally and emotionally drained, even if on the outside they seem like they have everything together. Many of my clients are used to being the responsible one, the dependable one, or the person others rely on. They may struggle with overthinking, constant pressure, difficulty relaxing, or periods of low mood where it feels hard to find motivation or enjoyment. I support clients who want to better understand their anxiety and depression, feel more in control of their thoughts and emotions, and learn how to create healthier boundaries in their lives. They’re often looking for a space where they can be honest, feel understood, and also gain practical tools to help them navigate everyday challenges.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
In my practice, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to emphasize solutions over problems. I start by building rapport and collaboratively defining clear, achievable goals with my clients. I employ techniques like the Miracle Question to help them envision their desired outcomes, scaling questions to assess their progress, and exception-finding questions to identify times when their problems were less severe. I focus on their strengths and past successes, encouraging them to create concrete action steps. By maintaining a future-oriented perspective and empowering my clients to take ownership of their progress, I facilitate positive change effectively and efficiently.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to enhance client motivation for change. I start by building a trusting rapport and exploring their feelings about their current situation. I use open-ended questions to encourage clients to express their thoughts and concerns, reflecting back what I hear to validate their feelings. I help them identify their personal reasons for change and the potential benefits, while also exploring any ambivalence they may have. By emphasizing autonomy and supporting their self-efficacy, I guide clients in setting achievable goals and developing a plan for change. This collaborative approach fosters a safe environment where clients feel empowered to take the steps they need.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to their emotional struggles. I begin by building rapport and understanding their concerns, then guide them in recognizing how their thoughts influence their feelings and behaviors. I teach clients techniques to reframe negative thoughts and develop healthier coping strategies. Together, we set specific, achievable goals and engage in structured activities that reinforce positive thinking and behavior change. By fostering self-awareness and providing practical tools, I empower clients to take control of their mental health and make lasting changes in their lives.
