What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're experiencing. We will build a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Grief is inevitable. Sometimes we don't know how to feel or be with emotions so we 'stuff' them in maladaptive ways. Sometimes having more tools & skills to better manage daily life are what’s required, and other times deeper self healing work can allow for heavy burdens and old beliefs to transform, alchemizing experiences into integrated gifts.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in the human capacity for resilience & work collaboratively with clients on successfully living with and growing from the effects of stress, illness, loss, & trauma. You have the right to enjoy a more satisfying life of creativity & fulfillment, embodying the amazing human you were created to be. Through traversing personal losses/experiences and companioning hundreds of clients through their own dark nights, I offer embodied guidance through life's more bumpy seasons.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My work specializes in serving folks feeling overwhelmed or burdened by unresolved emotions or trauma, impairing their preferred experience. Addressing mood/thinking and relationship challenges are a core component of services provided. Nici often works with people transitioning into new roles, careers, health dynamics, and relational shifts.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on understanding and harmonizing the different "parts" of an individual's psyche. Developed by Richard Schwartz, IFS views the mind as an internal system of various subpersonalities or parts, each with its own perspective and role. The therapy aims to help clients understand, communicate with, and heal these internal parts.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-established form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to improve emotional regulation and achieve better mental health. CBT is highly structured and goal-oriented, and it has been proven effective for a wide range of psychological disorders, including anxiety, depression, phobias, and eating disorders.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy, also known as grief counseling or bereavement counseling, is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals cope with the emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical challenges of grieving after a loss. The loss can be of a loved one, a relationship, a job, a pet, or even the loss of one's health or identity due to a major life change.

Jungian

Jungian is a form of psychotherapy based on the theories and concepts developed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. It emphasizes the exploration and integration of the unconscious mind to achieve greater self-awareness and psychological growth.

Somatic

Somatic therapy is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes the mind-body connection and focuses on how an individual's body experiences influence their mental and emotional well-being. This approach recognizes that the body holds and responds to emotional and psychological experiences, and that unresolved trauma or stress can manifest as physical symptoms or tension.
