I specialize in working with adults who have ADHD, helping them understand how it affects their daily lives and providing tools to manage challenges like focus, time management, and organization. In addition, I focus on the deeper emotional and mental health aspects that often accompany ADHD, such as anxiety, self-esteem issues, and frustration. My approach is collaborative, aiming to address both the practical and emotional layers of ADHD, and to help clients build on their strengths while developing strategies that work for their unique needs.
In our first session, we’ll take a comprehensive look at your history and the current state of your social, emotional, mental, and physical health. This helps us understand the bigger picture of what you’re experiencing. In our second session, we’ll focus more deeply on the main reason you’ve come to therapy, so we can start to develop strategies and goals that are tailored to your unique needs.
My strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to intuitively understand and empathize with my clients, creating a space where they feel truly heard. I’m skilled at tailoring tools and strategies to fit each person’s unique strengths and needs, ensuring that what we work on is practical and effective for them. I also focus on exploring the deeper roots of current challenges, often uncovering underlying patterns that may be contributing to the present concerns. Ultimately, I take a holistic approach, considering all aspects of a person’s life—emotional, mental, and physical—to create a comprehensive plan for healing and growth.
I work with adults who are navigating the challenges of ADHD, particularly those struggling with time management, task prioritization, procrastination, and self-esteem. Many of my clients also deal with emotional aspects like rejection sensitivity and imposter syndrome, which are often amplified by ADHD. I’m passionate about helping individuals who feel overwhelmed or stuck, and I aim to provide them with strategies that not only improve daily functioning but also address the emotional and mental health side of ADHD to foster greater self-acceptance and confidence.
I use a variety of treatment methods with CBT being the most common modality as it can be used with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and depression.
I use attachment based therapy to work through relationship issues the client may be experiencing as well as family dysfunction in childhood.
I use DBT for improving emotional regulation and interpersonal and communication skills.
I use existential therapy when working with clients who are in life transitions and are seeking direction or in working with trauma.
