Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I am passionate about partnering with my clients to assist in determining and reaching their goals! I have worked with a variety of issues over the years, but have the most experience with childhood trauma, familial conflict, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, personality, and life experiences by utilizing an integrative approach. This basically means I don't practice a "one size fits all" type of therapy and will use interventions from several therapeutic approaches as long as it best serves your needs.
In our first session, we will take time to review your history and what specifically encouraged you to come to counseling. If you're unsure why you decided to start counseling, don't worry! We can process that together. We will work together to identify your needs and personal goals. Following our intake appointment, I will begin to design your personalized therapy model by pulling from several evidence based practices that best suit your personality and needs.
Having worked with a wide variety of diverse populations I have learned that the best therapy is individualized therapy. Trauma, anxiety, depression, and even ADHD can manifest differently client to client. You can rest assured that I am taking an active role in the therapeutic process in order to ensure that you are receiving the care you need.
As a therapist, I work best with individuals who are seeking a safe and supportive space to explore their experiences, gain insight, and make meaningful changes. I often work with: - Individuals navigating complex trauma: If you're carrying the weight of past experiences and need a space to process and heal, my trauma-informed approach can help you move forward at your own pace. - Clients seeking insight into relational patterns: Many of my clients are exploring how their childhood experiences or family dynamics impact their current relationships. Together, we focus on uncovering these patterns and creating healthier connections. - Clients managing anxiety or depression: If you're struggling with overwhelming thoughts or emotions, I offer evidence-based tools to help you challenge unhelpful thinking and find relief. - Individuals facing life transitions: Whether you're navigating a relationship change, a career shift, or another significant transition, I’m here to help you find clarity and confidence as you move forward. - Resistant or hesitant clients: I recognize that starting therapy can be challenging, especially if you're unsure about the process or feeling reluctant to open up. My approach is warm and nonjudgmental, providing a space where you can feel heard and supported as we work together at your pace. - Clients seeking emotional healing and growth: If you’re ready to explore your story, reframe unhelpful beliefs, and grow in self-awareness, I can support you in developing resilience and self-compassion. My approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, person-centered, CBT, and trauma-informed practices, so I can tailor our work to your unique needs. My goal is to provide a space where you feel understood and empowered to take steps toward healing and growth.
Every person that comes to therapy is unique and requires individualized care. That is why I take a collaborative, trauma-informed, integrative approach within my practice. Following our intake appointment, I will begin to design your personalized therapy model by pulling from several evidence based practices in order to best suit your personality and needs.
I have utilized CBT throughout the duration of my practice. CBT can help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is also used to assist clients in challenging problematic thought patterns in order to assist in reducing problematic recurring thoughts and feelings of anxiety.
You are the expert of yourself. Utilizing person-centered therapy means that you as the client are in the drivers seat, I am simply here to assist you on your journey to healing.
I have specialized training in trauma informed care and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Over the years I have worked primarily with childhood trauma and sexual trauma. While many of us have experienced trauma, your trauma and how it impacts your day to day life is completely unique. We will work together to find the best path of healing for you.
Have you ever found yourself asking, "why do I keep doing this?" or "why do I feel this way?" Often times our current experiences are manipulated by unconscious processes. I have used psychodynamic therapy with a wide variety of clients over the years in order to assist them in gaining personal insight. This insight often helps us to identify new options and empowers us to live differently.
