As a Licensed Professional Counselor I am here to provide a wide range of services for children, adolescents and adults. I have over ten years of experience working in the field especially with children and adolescents with a variety of behavioral and mental health issues. I have a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) as well as Bachelors of Psychology from SCSU. I had worked for fifteen years in a community mental health agency for children and families within an urban setting. I opened my own private practice in 2018 at which I am now working full time since 2020. In addition, I have worked as a conference chair for the Connecticut Counseling Association. I served as the senior leader and site coordinator for my previous agency for several evidenced based practices including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, MATCH and CPP. I have extensive experience presenting at conferences and local agencies on eating disorders, self-injury, trauma and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. In addition, I will focus on building rapport with my clients and creating a safe therapeutic space to explore challenges. I conduct all intakes virtually but can offer in person sessions for those who prefer following the intake.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Areas of strength include listening skills, ability to adapt interventions to the needs of the client's in my care and continued education to expand upon areas of expertise continually. Another strength is being able to build rapport and a strong therapeutic relationship with the client's in my care.
