With seven years of experience in community mental health and crisis intervention under my belt, I'm here to be your partner in healing and growth. Life can be a rollercoaster, from feeling disconnected to battling anxiety, coping with depression, or dealing with the aftermath of trauma. But here's the beautiful part – you're not alone in this. Together, we'll navigate through these challenges, finding ways to build resilience and rediscover your inner strength. Taking that first step towards healing is courageous, and I'm here to provide the empathy and support you need every step of the way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Usually in the first session we will complete a bio-psychosocial assessment, which essentially just means getting to know you! We will discuss goals for treatment and explore how I can best support you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With seven years of working in community mental health, my biggest strengths include ability to build rapport with people of all walks of life, meeting client's where they are at, and making personalized plans to assist client in reaching their goals. If you're searching for a welcoming and supportive environment to navigate life's hurdles, know that I offer warmth and compassion where no issue is too small.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I utilized EMDR to assist people in desensitizing traumas they have experienced (of all sizes) which includes desensitizing the negative core beliefs associated with those neural pathways. By doing so, individuals can effectively navigate forward in life without the burden of past distressing experiences, enabling them to pursue personal growth and fulfillment unhindered by previous emotional baggage. Some examples of negative core beliefs include but not limited to: I am something “wrong” such as I am a disappointment, I am not good enough, I am stupid, I don’t belong; I did something “wrong”, such as I should have done something, I should have known better. Other negative cognitions can be related to safety/vulnerability and control/choice such as I cannot trust (anyone or myself), I am in danger, It’s not okay to feel/show my emotions, I am not in control, I am a failure, I am helpless. Some people have experienced negative events in childhood that they may not consider trauma, but if you connect with one of these negative core beliefs there is a good chance you could benefit from EMDR!

Eclectic

In addition to EMDR, I practice multi-modal/ eclectic approach tailored to meet your unique needs and aspirations. Because, let's face it, no two individuals are the same, and your journey deserves a personalized touch.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a staple therapy modality that is excellent when working with depressive or anxious symptoms/disorders.
