My name is Nikki, I’m a therapist with seven years of experience, specializing in helping clients address anxiety, depression, and trauma. Using EMDR and a personalized approach, I guide clients in overcoming limiting beliefs and building resilience for a more empowered, fulfilling life. Together, we can navigate life's obstacles, build resilience, and rediscover your inner strength. Taking that first step toward healing is an act of courage, and I’m here to provide the empathy and support you need along the way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we’ll complete a bio-psychosocial assessment, which is essentially a deep dive into your history and current life circumstances. We’ll discuss your goals for therapy and explore how I can best support you in achieving them, setting the stage for our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore and heal. With seven years of experience, I have honed my expertise in helping clients navigate through complex emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. I use EMDR, a highly effective tool for processing emotionally charged memories and reducing the emotional weight they carry, in combination with a multi-modal approach tailored to each client's unique needs. One of my core strengths is my ability to help clients identify limiting beliefs that are often deeply rooted in childhood experiences. These beliefs can transcend various areas of life, impacting relationships, self-esteem, and even career success. I guide clients in uncovering these beliefs and work collaboratively with them to break free from their influence, creating space for new, empowering narratives. My approach is flexible and personalized because I believe that no two individuals are the same. I meet clients where they are and adjust my methods to best support their healing journey. Clients appreciate my blend of professionalism, empathy, and practicality, as I help them move forward at a pace that feels right for them. Whether we’re working through trauma, addressing anxiety, or tackling self-doubt, I stay focused on celebrating the client’s progress and building their confidence. Above all, I bring a deep sense of empathy and genuine care to my work. I see therapy as a partnership, and I’m here to provide support, guidance, and encouragement as clients work to overcome the barriers that have held them back. My passion lies in helping people break free from the chains of their past, and watching them step into a more authentic, empowered version of themselves is truly the most rewarding part of my work.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I utilized EMDR to assist people in desensitizing traumas they have experienced (of all sizes) which includes desensitizing the negative core beliefs associated with those neural pathways. By doing so, individuals can effectively navigate forward in life without the burden of past distressing experiences, enabling them to pursue personal growth and fulfillment unhindered by previous emotional baggage. Some examples of negative core beliefs include but not limited to: I am something “wrong” such as I am a disappointment, I am not good enough, I am stupid, I don’t belong; I did something “wrong”, such as I should have done something, I should have known better. Other negative cognitions can be related to safety/vulnerability and control/choice such as I cannot trust (anyone or myself), I am in danger, It’s not okay to feel/show my emotions, I am not in control, I am a failure, I am helpless. Some people have experienced negative events in childhood that they may not consider trauma, but if you connect with one of these negative core beliefs there is a good chance you could benefit from EMDR!

Eclectic

In addition to EMDR, I practice multi-modal/ eclectic approach tailored to meet your unique needs and aspirations. Because, let's face it, no two individuals are the same, and your journey deserves a personalized touch.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a staple therapy modality that is excellent when working with depressive or anxious symptoms/disorders.
