Do you struggle with stress and anxiety? Do you feel overwhelmed, sad, angry, or have low-self esteem? Does this affect the relationships around you? I help adolescents, adults, and families strengthen relationships, regulate emotion and behavior management, and help build social and coping skills. I would love to work together with you to help overcome barriers and empower yourself to make positive changes. I take a humanistic approach to therapy and I believe that you are already the expert when it comes to your life and experiences. My goal is to work collaboratively to help you unlock your full potential. I will meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first few sessions I will spend time asking questions to get to know and understand you better. We will work together to determine what you want to accomplish and establish goals for therapy. You should expect a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, empathetic, and safe. I will offer insight into your experiences, advice on how to handle issues, and evidence-based treatment for mental health conditions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I like to use cognitive behavioral therapy in sessions as my main treatment method. CBT has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, relational problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Other treatment methods I use are motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, person centered therapy, family systems and eclectic therapy. I will modify treatment methods to meet you or your child's needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that there is not a right or wrong way to to meet a clients needs. I think that it is important to remain client-centered and strength based to help meet an individual where they are at. I will work collaborative with you to find what approach is best for you and will guide our treatment. I have experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
