Virtual

I have been in private practice for 20+ years. I specialize in offering comprehensive psychological services for individuals, families, and children. I routinely consult with physicians and other specialists concerning treatment plans and will amend as needed. I offer a place where the client can feel welcome, seen, heard, and valued. I provide a safe space for everyone to express doubts, hopes, problems, trauma from the past, and dreams for the future. I wish for you to be comfortable and freeā€¦ to feel vulnerable, take off the armor, break down the walls, remove all masks, and to just be You - even for just a moment. And, within these moments, discover ways to move mountains. mcfarlandtherapy.com phoenixhealth-w.com

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in this field for over 20 years and very familiar with how life can be challenging at times. I am not judgmental and can provide suggestions for difficult issues or simply listen.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT by collaboratively setting goals with the client, then work to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. I use different techniques to help clients develop healthier coping strategies and achieve their goals.

Supportive

With this method I provide empathy, encouragement, and validation to the client without necessarily focusing on specific techniques or goals. I create a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
