What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is all about understanding your unique situation, building trust, and collaboratively setting the groundwork for future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to meet each individual where they are and tailor treatment specifically to their needs. I recognize that every client is unique, and no single approach works for everyone. Because of this, I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities—such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)—to best suit each person’s goals, challenges, and personal preferences.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating a variety of emotional and psychological challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, mood-related disorders, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and adjustment disorders. My experience spans working with individuals who are dealing with life transitions, stress management, and difficulties related to family dynamics, personal identity, and interpersonal relationships.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based approach to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. By guiding clients through the process of recognizing cognitive distortions, such as catastrophizing or overgeneralization, we work together to challenge these unhelpful thoughts and replace them with more balanced and realistic alternatives.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use ERP to help clients confront their obsessive thoughts without engaging in the compulsion, which ultimately reduces the anxiety and reinforces the idea that their feared outcomes are unlikely or manageable. Through a carefully structured hierarchy of exposures, I work with clients to gradually introduce situations that trigger their OCD, starting with less anxiety-provoking scenarios and progressing toward more challenging ones as they build tolerance.

EMDR

In my practice I use EMDR to assist clients in processing and resolving prior traumatic experiences. EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that helps individuals reprocess distressing memories and associated negative beliefs in a way that reduces their emotional charge. It works by stimulating bilateral brain activity—typically through guided eye movements, though other forms of bilateral stimulation can be used—while the client recalls traumatic events. This process facilitates the integration of these memories into a more adaptive cognitive framework, allowing clients to shift from a state of emotional distress to one of greater understanding and resolution.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to help clients understand and heal the various parts of themselves that may be in conflict or causing emotional distress. IFS is based on the idea that the mind is made up of distinct "parts," or subpersonalities, each with its own perspective, emotions, and roles. These parts can include wounded or vulnerable aspects of the self, as well as protective parts that may try to manage difficult emotions or behaviors.
