Hi, I’m Kelsie. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and somatic therapist with over a decade of experience sitting with people through the complexities of life. My approach is grounded in presence, body awareness, and the belief that healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, each other, and the systems we live in. I draw from somatic practices, narrative therapy, and mindfulness to help clients reconnect with their own wisdom, process what’s been stored in the body, and move toward more ease, clarity, and authenticity.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, low-pressure space to begin wherever you are. I’ll guide us through some gentle questions to get a sense of what’s bringing you in, what’s felt hard lately, and what you’re hoping for in therapy. We’ll go at your pace. I might also introduce some simple body-based check-ins to help us stay connected to the present moment, if that feels supportive. More than anything, my goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and safe enough to begin this work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I blend somatic awareness, nervous system education, and narrative therapy to support deep, sustainable change. I don’t just focus on talking through what’s hard—I help clients notice how their bodies carry stress, trauma, and survival patterns, and how to gently shift those patterns over time. I bring a steady, compassionate presence and a belief that healing isn’t about fixing yourself, but about coming home to who you already are. Clients often share that they feel more grounded, more connected to themselves, and better able to navigate life with clarity and care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support folks who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected—from themselves, their bodies, or their purpose. Many of my clients are navigating the impacts of complex trauma, people-pleasing, grief, or systemic pressures that have shaped how they move through the world. They often carry a deep desire for change, even if they’re not quite sure what that looks like yet. I work well with those who are curious, reflective, and open to exploring how their body, story, and environment all intersect in the healing process. Together, we create space for slowing down, tuning in, and moving toward a more grounded, authentic way of being.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS, or Internal Family Systems, is a type of therapy that helps us understand the different 'parts' within us—like the part that gets anxious, the part that wants to avoid things, or the part that’s self-critical. These parts all have reasons for being there, often rooted in past experiences. In IFS, we learn how to listen to these parts with compassion, instead of fighting them. There's also a core part of you—called the Self—that’s calm, wise, and capable of leading with clarity. Therapy helps you connect with that Self and release the responsibility that many of these parts are holding.

Somatic

Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing. 'Soma' means body, and in this kind of therapy, we pay attention not just to your thoughts and emotions, but also to what’s happening in your body—like tension, tightness, breathing patterns, or sensations. Your body holds a lot of your life experience, especially things that were overwhelming or hard to process at the time. Sometimes, talking alone isn’t enough to fully move through those experiences. Somatic therapy helps you gently reconnect with your body in a safe way, so you can better understand your responses, release old stress, and build a deeper sense of safety and presence. We’ll go at your pace—small, mindful steps that help your body and mind feel more connected and at ease.

Experiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a feeling-based approach that goes beyond just talking. It uses things like movement, imagery, or creative expression to help you connect with emotions and experiences stored in the body.
