In our first session together, I will want to know what has brought you to counseling. I will want to hear your story, understand your life experiences and hear a little bit about how you grew up. This will help me to begin to understand who you are. Each session after this, we, will build from that foundation. I will help you notice patterns and themes in your life and pay attention to interpersonal dynamics with the goal of helping you develop and more grounded sense of self.

Understanding that mental health often co-occurs with other conditions and is often rooted in early trauma experiences, I incorporates strength-based and cognitive behavioral therapy in my work with individuals. I help individuals identify and understand the root of thier thinking patterns, negative core beliefs, emotional and behavioral responses that will lead them away from undesired outcomes in thier interpersonal lives.
Understanding that every individual is to be recognized. Love, through individual understanding of health, mental health and wellbeing can be as diverse as the person the topic. I value that we all have an individual story, and that it is a privilege to share, honor, connect to, and respect those stories. I value that communication is community and how we begin to understand each other. I value that there is purpose in each life and want to help cultivate, prepare and inspire. Applying culturally sensitive therapy aligns with my personal philosophy of meeting people as they are; where they are; getting to offer health, healing, and growth.
