Do you know that the greatest distance in life is often found between the head and the heart? How do we grow more distant or disconnected from ourselves? Through an unexpected life change that causes you to question your sense of self? A persistent search for connection or meaning that leaves you feeling disappointed and that something is missing from your life? How does this show up in your life? in addiction, perfectionism, anxiety, depression, codependency, loss of fulfillment or purpose? Are you feeling overwhelmed, lost or stuck? Well, together, we will create a safe space for you to identify what keeps you from living your life. Together we will utilize mindfulness and healing techniques to build a stronger relationship with yourself that frees you to live your life in balance, with self-compassion from the inside out. You deserve a safe place to heal and grow. We will use a whole self-approach to address the needs of your mind, body and spirit and empower you to move forward in your life!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will share introductions and discuss the information you have provided me before your appointment. This will help us to discuss your concerns and how we might best go about addressing them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It is a privilege to work with individuals who seek to heal, recover, learn and grow in their own lives. My greatest strength as an LCSW is my ability to listen, to be curious without judgment, empathic and skilled in understanding unique needs that form individualized plans for each client. I enjoy working with women in recovery from alcoholism and addiction, those impacted by childhood emotional neglect and women in later life or life transition.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

adult women ages 18+ with histories of emotional trauma, childhood emotional neglect and recovering from substance use and abuse; adult women who through life events/transitions, grief and loss have lost their sense of identity and sense of who they are

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great tool to learn about your thoughts, the messages we tell ourselves, how they impact our emotions and behavior in every area of our lives. Good news, you can learn to identify thoughts that impact you negatively and replace them with self-affirming thoughts that lead to healing and reclaiming your sense of self.

Mind-body approach

We are mind, body, spirit, but through different experiences, substance use, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, as examples, we can become disconnected from our thoughts our emotions and our bodies. Breathing techniques and mindfulness approaches help to reconnect us to bring into awareness areas of healing.
