Hi. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I Graduated with my Masters In Mental Health Counseling Long Island University Brooklyn, and I have been practicing for the past 9 years working with age 5-75. Throughout my career, I have provided support to my client's in navigating life changes, relationship issues, personal growth, self-esteem, and many other mental health needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach to therapy is both personalized and collaborative. I consider each client as their own expert and support them in identifying what they are hoping to get out of each session. I will work with each client as a team to come up with a customized plan that is best for them. I strive to create a space where clients can have the opportunity to grow, be vulnerable, and feel empowered. Working with me, clients will be challenged to dig deeper into the thought patterns and behaviors that are not working for them and learn to reframe these patterns to build the life they’ve always desired.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT allows me to assist you in dealing with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. I will support you as we work to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel and focus on your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past.

Motivational Interviewing

Through the use of open ended, rather than close ended questions, and providing supportive and affirming listening, I will assist you in finding the motivation to make positive behavioral changes towards your specific goals and overcome your apprehension.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person Centered therapy allows me to take a non-directive approach, but rather operate as an equal partner with you in the therapy process. This approach allows room for your feelings, suggestions, and solutions to be received without judgement by maintaining an unconditional positive regard.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness- Based Therapy allows us tools to integrate mindfulness into physical activity though tools such as deep breathing exercises and grounding techniques aimed to assist you in reconnecting with the present moment rather than operating on autopilot

Reality Therapy

Reality therapy helps us focus on improving your present relationships and circumstances rather than putting focus and concern on discussion of past events.
