Hello, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in Florida with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, first as a Registered Nurse (RN) and now as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I have developed a deep understanding and expertise in managing a wide range of conditions including ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, substance use disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, among others. Central to my practice is the provision of personalized and culturally sensitive care. I recognize the unique circumstances of each of my clients and strive to educate them and their families about their conditions. This holistic approach enables me to deliver compassionate and high-quality care that addresses not just the symptoms, but the overall wellbeing of my clients. In addition to providing individual care, I am deeply invested in community engagement. I aim to provide the necessary education and resources to combat the stigma surrounding mental health. Through these initiatives, I hope to foster a greater understanding and acceptance of mental health conditions within the community..

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where they can feel comfortable to express their feelings and concerns. The initial session will use to gather information to identify, understand your needs , and formulate a diagnosis. I will also explain my approach to treatment and discuss the types of therapy or interventions that may be beneficial. This might include medication management, behavioral modifications, lifestyle changes, or referral for more in-dept therapy. We will then work together to set treatment goals that align with your needs and preferences. It's important to remember that this is a collaborative process, and I encourage you to ask questions or express any concerns you may have.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a healthcare provider, my strength include empathy, knowledge, empowerment, and a patient-centered philosophy. My strengths also include working with individuals with ADHD, depression, anxiety. I am also versed in working with individuals with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and SUD. I possess a deep understanding and compassion for my patients, which I believe is crucial in building trust and enhancing patient outcomes. I am a forever learner which coupled with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest research and treatment methods, enables me to provide evidence-based and up-to-date care. In addition to these, my strong communication skills are essential in making complex medical terms and conditions understandable for patients and their families, facilitating informed decision-making. Above all, my care philosophy is patient-centered. I focus on delivering care that not only addresses the mental health condition at hand, but also respects the unique needs and circumstances of each patient. My goal is to promote understanding and acceptance of mental health conditions, thereby contributing to the eradication of the stigma associated with them. Through this comprehensive and empathetic approach, I aim to enhance the well-being and quality of life of my patients and the community as a whole."
