As a therapist, my goal is directed towards helping individuals create a different narrative of their life story to embrace a life filled with love of self and others. Recreating and correcting unhealthy thoughts of your life narrative can reduce symptoms of stress. I received my bachelor’s degree in human services in 2017 and my Master of Science degree with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I completed Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training in 2023. I have gained experience working with individuals as a substance abuse counselor, and behavioral therapist in a private practice setting working with children and families. One of my goals will be to assist you with your goals and to improve your overall wellness in all areas of life.
Our first session will consist of a brief introduction, and review of identified problems to gain insight on the specific needed to enhance treatment and maintain a healthy rapport throughout treatment. To get started you will need to have a willing spirit and commit to the comfortable and uncomfortable moments you will encounter but is needed to overcome faulty thinking Within this journey you will have access to a therapist who is committed to assisting you develop new pathways of wellness and healthy coping techniques to manage resistance. Resistance is expected and has been adapted into the cycle of change.
I have worked with women and children in different settings of mental health. I am able to show empathy, build a rapport and establish an environemnt that is safe by having a thorough understanding of issues that may arise with young women and children.
I love working with young adults helping them build resiliency from daily stressors, burnout, womens issues, life transitions and self-development. My clients would be motivated for changed behaviors, selfcare and goal setting.
I use CBT in therapy to assist with identifying thought patterns that lead to feelings expressed in behaviors contributing to unhealthy coping skills.
