At the end of most first sessions, clients can expect a homework assignment, which is helpful for our future sessions. My expertise extends to addressing a diverse range of challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and addiction. I have developed a unique niche working with student-athletes, who have a distinct set of pressures and demands. The balance between academics, sports, and personal well-being can be overwhelming. I understand the unique psychological aspects of performance and the impact it can have on your mental health. Through tailored strategies, I aim to help you manage stress, enhance focus, and build resilience both on and off the court or field.
I enjoy working with children and teens, with a special focus on student athletes on all levels. Student athletes deal with an immense amount of added pressure and stress due to their dual role as students and athletes. They are expected to perform at a high level in the classroom and on the court (or field) and while their physical health is important, their mental wellness is often overlooked. My experience as a sports mom/wife and a clinician gives me a unique ability to understand the demands that student athletes face and navigate the mental health challenges that may be impacting their athletic and academic performance. My approach is supportive, encouraging, and attentive, providing a safe space to express themselves without fear of judgement or correction. And it doesn't hurt that I am a major sports fan!
