I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) practicing in Illinois. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois- Chicago, and I have dedicated the past 14 years to the social work field. My primary focus is as a school social worker, where I specialize in supporting youth and their families as they navigate the challenges of school and life.
During our initial session, we will begin by getting acquainted and establishing a solid foundation for our therapeutic relationship. Building rapport and fostering trust with be our primary focus. The client will have the opportunity to openly discuss any challenges they are experiencing and dive into their reasons for seeking out counseling services. This valuable exchange of information will lay the groundwork for future sessions together.
Having served as a school social worker for over a decade, I have collaborated with diverse students, parents, and teachers to devise effective strategies for youth support. I derive immense satisfaction from working with young individuals and posses a natural ability to establish trust and foster strong rapport effortlessly.
I find fulfillment in guiding youth and their families through their journey in school and as they embark on the exploration of possibilities while transitioning into adulthood. Yet, this phase comes with its share of stressors and obstacles. My tenure as a school social worker has equipped me with the necessary skills and understanding to effectively support young adults and their parents as they are dealing with the many challenges they encounter in today's world.
