I left an unsatisfying career in business to become a therapist. I made a change to live a happier life, and I’m so thankful I did. Over the past 10 years, I've dedicated my life to learning how to help people change their lives. I received a master's degree and a doctorate degree in social work while working with clients across all walks of life. I focus on taking all that I've learned and customizing my approach to each of my clients' unique needs. I use cognitive approaches to help clients change their thought patterns and behaviors while also using mindfulness-based practices to assist with understanding and coping with emotions. Whether you’ve tried therapy before or this is your first experience, we will find what works for YOU. It’s time for you to create the life you want to live. Don’t wait any longer. Everything you need is already within you, waiting to be unleashed. Allow me to help you find it.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming and understanding environment where we'll focus primarily on getting to know each other. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy and start to explore your current challenges and goals. Importantly, this session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your exact needs. Together, we will develop a personalized plan tailored specifically to help you achieve the outcomes you desire. My approach is collaborative, so your insights and preferences will play a crucial role in shaping our journey together. This initial meeting sets the foundation for our work, aiming to ensure you feel supported and empowered to take the next steps toward your well-being.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider stem from my wide-ranging professional experiences and my commitment to learning a diverse range of therapeutic approaches. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding and empathy for the varied challenges that people face, enabling me to relate to and support my clients effectively. Moreover, my dedication to mastering various therapeutic techniques allows me to customize my approach for each individual client, ensuring that the therapy is tailored to their specific needs and goals. This flexibility and personalization are critical, as they help me to provide the most effective support possible, facilitating personal growth and helping clients navigate their journeys towards well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT was the first therapeutic approach I was trained in when I became a therapist, and I was drawn to it because it provides clients with tools they can use in everyday life to effect real change. Through the use of CBT, clients with understand how their thoughts, emotions, and actions are connected. By gaining insight into these relationships, we can work together to transform your thought processes and deeply entrenched behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I gained extensive training and experience in DBT through my work at an intensive outpatient treatment center. I was able to use DBT in supporting clients both individually and in therapeutic groups. I use this approach with clients because of its effectiveness and ability to help people navigate a wide range of mental health challenges.

Positive Psychology

As soon as I learned that positive psychology focuses on helping people flourish in their lives, I knew it would be the foundation of my work with clients. By emphasizing strengths rather than weaknesses, this approach allows me to help clients build resilience and cultivate a mindset that supports growth and well-being. In practice, I integrate techniques like gratitude journaling, mindfulness exercises, and the identification of personal values and strengths into therapy sessions.
