I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts. I have been practicing for over 15 years working with a variety of clients. I have experience working in long term and short term therapy and crisis management. Finding ways to cope with life stressors and manage the symptoms of mental illness can be a challenge but with right support and skills it is possible.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will take time to get to know each other. I will work with you to start making a plan tailored towards you and the goals you have for treatment. This will be a plan we can modify and change during our time working together, but will give us a starting point for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with a variety of clients for over 15 years and believe my diverse experience will help us to make your treatment experience both effective and supportive. I am a good listener. I believe in always hearing what my client is saying, while also taking an active role in treatment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is a very effective treatment method that helps people change the way they perceive a situation and their reactions to the situation itself. We can identify the negative or distorted thoughts to change them, and help you view a situation more clearly.

Forensic Psychology

I have over 15 years of experience working with people who are involved with the legal system in a variety of ways. This encompasses survivors of crime, people working in the forensic fields and offenders.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Many people experience very intense emotional responses and have a difficult time managing them. DBT is a helpful tool to learn to accept your feelings, manage those feelings and make positive changes in your life.

Motivational Interviewing

This is a short term counseling method that is a strength based approach to helping clients find the motivation to change their behaviors by looking at insecurities and ambivalent feelings. Making life changes is difficult but with the right support it is possible.
