Hey there! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I graduated from App State (NC) 6 years ago. I work with adults who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, and depression and help them to find their way back to the best version of themselves. When we've experienced something troubling or traumatic in our lives, it can be difficult to find our way back to version of ourselves that feels whole and happy. I'm here to help you figure out who that person is and guide you back to them.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we’ll get to know one another and talk more in depth about your specific concerns and goals. This will help us come up with a plan together and give me insight into how I can best support you. I love to find out what you are already doing that brings peace or joy into your life so that we can build on those things and incorporate them into therapy!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

After working with individuals with significant mood disorders and extensive trauma history’s for over 3 years, I feel confident that I can help you navigate any challenge you are experiencing. I can help you identify the root causes of your struggles and together we will come up with a plan to tackle them.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I’ve been practicing EMDR for over a year. I use this tool in therapy to support people in navigating traumatic experiences and moving towards healing in any aspect of their life that trauma has impacted.

Strength-Based

All of my therapy sessions come from a strengths-based lense. I believe that each person has a unique set of strengths that has helped them survive and navigate difficult times. Identifying and building on the strengths that you already have, but may not be aware of, we can work together to help you take the next steps forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of my most frequently used tools when working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, but it can be applied to almost any challenge. Together we can explore how your thoughts and feelings are connected and can be turned into a tool for positive change.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT encompasses a number of tools and strategies to help individuals navigate difficult situations and uncomfortable emotions. I frequently incorporate strategies from DBT to help people learn to navigate mood challenges and feel more regulated.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is an excellent tool that can be used alongside any type of therapy to help you feel more grounded in your day to day life.
